• WE ARE ALL SAVED BY THE SAME SAVIOUR

The gospel teaches us that regardless of a person’s nationality, culture, age or gender they have been born into a sinful and fallen world.  Every person that has stepped foot upon the earth has fallen victim to the insidious effects of sin, and, in turn, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  As sinners separated from community with a holy God we are all in need of a Saviour who can rescue us from the effects of sin and makes us righteous in order that we might participate in the kingdom of God.  In an act of pure love and humility Jesus Christ emptied Himself and became a human being in order to become the perfect sacrifice for the sins of humanity.  The gospel clearly articulates that the negative effects of sin are universal; they are not bound by gender, age or culture holding all people captive.  The great news about Christ’s sacrifice on the cross is that it is also universal; God’s grace, through His Son, knows no bounds and is sufficient for all humanity to be made righteous for all time regardless of their skin-color or socio-economic status.  Salvation is a gracious gift of God given to all who call upon the name of Jesus. At KLCC we are all equally in need of the same Saviour, Jesus Christ, because we are all human beings helplessly incapable of overcoming our own sinfulness.

  • WE ARE ALL SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF THE SAME FATHER

The good news of the gospel is further revealed in the reality that by washing away our sins Jesus Christ took away the barrier between God the Father and His children.  The gospel tells us that the Father adopts all who confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in their heart that He was raised from the dead.  Upon their confession those who believe in Jesus are baptized in His name to signify and affirm their new lives in Christ; new people made righteous by His sacrifice, saved by His grace and adopted by their heavenly Father.  Adoption means full admittance into the family of God with all of God’s children from every nation, tribe and tongue being accepted as co-heirs with Christ.  The family of God is assured to spend eternity together in heaven free from the burden of sin and undefeated by death.  At KLCC we are all equally accepted, blessed and loved by the same Father.

  • WE ARE ALL SENT AND ENABLED BY THE SAME SPIRIT

The gospel is incomplete until it is shared. Having died on the cross to take away the sins of the world and having been raised from the dead, Jesus gave the family of the Father the mission to continue His gospel work. He commissioned the people of God to go and make disciples of all nations in every corner of the earth, teaching them everything He had said and baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus set the family expectation that His Father’s children would tell all people about the saving grace of God made available on the cross, joyfully inviting them into the family of the Father. He did not, however, send them aimlessly or alone. Jesus told His disciples that their mission could only be fulfilled if they waited for the Holy Spirit to lead, enable and empower them. Christ’s death on the cross had not just ushered in forgiveness and brought the Father’s family back together for eternity, it had also allowed for the children of God to be filled with the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. The Holy Spirit is given to all of God’s children from every tribe and nation, both men and women, young and old, in order to set them apart and enable them to powerfully preach the gospel and bring the kingdom of God to life daily in every community. At KLCC we have all been called to the same Christ proclaimed mission to make disciples of all nations, and we are all completely in need of the same enabling Holy Spirit in order to fulfill it.
