KLCC Announcements – August 07, 2017

Here are your announcements for the week of August 7th, 2017!

  • The KLCC Soccer Camp is underway! Today was our first day and it was fantastic! Please consider coming out this week any day to cheer on the kids and help us build relationships with the local families as well as the children in our own congregation. We are hosting the camp at the field located on the corner of 207th & 48th in Langley. Come bring a chair, some water and spend some time with us! Camp runs all this week from 9AM-3PM.
  • Reminder that our weekly Prayer Meeting is now WORSHIP WEDNESDAY! Come join us at Power to Change from 7PM-8:30 for a time of praise + worship and prayer. A great time to connect during the week with our church family! Childcare provided & everyone welcome!

OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVICE

Shan is heading to Jamaica on a Missions Trip to Robins Nest on August 17th. Imagine diapering, bathing, feeding, and clothing up to 35 children every day . . . and then cleaning up after them! Some items are not available in Jamaica while others are much more expensive in-country so visitors and volunteers kindly bring them many of the supplies they rely on daily. Please check out the full list of the most helpful items by clicking here : Robin’s Nest Website. Shan is able to bring 2 suitcase of items so anything you can bring to donate would help! Bring to church on either Wednesday evening or Sunday morning for collection. Thank you for your support!

Kid's Corner

Throughout the summer the kids are continuing to learn about the Parables. We have had a lot of fun learning about them. We are also working on memorizing scripture. Please encourage your children to memorize this week’s verse:
Colossians 3:23-24 New International Version (NIV)
23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

For younger kids start with the first verse and then if possible do both. It has been exciting to see all our children memorize verses on a weekly basis!
